Camden Council committed to an independent review into the evacuation of the Chalcots Estate, in an effort to learn from what happened.

The independent review is split into two parts. The first phase looks at the evacuation and emergency management, and the second phase will look more widely at the refurbishment of the buildings and their management.

The review looked at documents and evidence gathered from council staff, the fire brigade and residents. Residents were given the opportunity to directly feed in to the review to share how the evacuation impacted them and their neighbours.

Marian Harrington, the Chair of the Independent Review presented her final report of phase one of the review to Camden Council on Monday 25 June and you can read the full report here.

If you would like to receive a copy of the report by email once published please contact chalcotsestate@camden.gov.uk
